Frequently Asked Questions
- Realistically, I don't need much but an on-line brochure. How much is this going to cost me?
- It really depends on what services you want. For a Virtual Brochure
type service
the cost would be $100 to get set up and $30/month. This would include all fees
to register one domain name and get you setup.
- What other fees can I expect?
- Currently it costs $20 per year to renew your domain name registration. If you want to
have more than one domain name pointed at your website (for example yourdomain.com and yourdomain.net),
each additional name will initially cost $50 to register and set up, and $20/year thereafter to
renew.
- I have lots of slides, but no digitized content for the site. What can I do about that?
- Magic Shirt offers conversion services of slides, negatives, and prints to digital format. The cost
for this service is typically $.50 per image.
- Any other fees?
- As long as you retain the same levels of service, there are no other fees.
- I really would like to maintain a changing gallery of items myself. Can I do this?
- Yes, the site can be set up so that you have access to the gallery to add and change
content whenever you like. Should you have technical problems, Magic Shirt will provide
support, but you can manage the day-to-day gallery changes. This level of service would typically
cost $40/month.
- How long does it take to get my website on-line?
- Mainly, that depends on you and how quickly you can provide the desired content. For
a simple website with the content readily available, it could be on-line in two weeks or less.
- Are there other levels of service from those that were previously mentioned?
- Sure, four typical packages are described here. But packages
can be tailored to suit your needs. Rates will be estimated and agreed to based on estimated
level or effort by Magic Shirt. If needed, or if your needs change, the rates can be revisited after
the first year.
- What if I decide that I no longer want to do business with Magic Shirt?
- Because of the minimal start-up cost, Magic Shirt asks that you commit to using the
service for one year. Hopefully at the end of the one-year commitment you will feel that
Magic Shirt's services are indispensable. If, however, you wish to severe the relationship at
the end of the year, Magic Shirt promises to turn over all your materials, in good order, so that
you can host your own site, or hire a new host.
